Meet Our Founder

Josh Calderon

Founder, Principal Lawyer

Josh is an experienced corporate lawyer who loves nothing more than moving the needle forward for business owners. He is driven by a relentless desire to be of service and to create positive outcomes.

His love of entrepreneurship took hold at an early age when he unsuccessfully tried to persuade his dad to start a precision tool manufacturing business. He was 11 years old.

Before starting his own practice, Josh built his career at one of Canada’s largest business law firms. Unsatisfied with the partnership trajectory, he took a leap of faith when he left without a plan in 2016. He started a travel tech company and invested 18 months of blood, sweat, and tears (not to mention money) into it before it ultimately didn’t work out. That’s when he had the idea to combine his legal skillset with his passion for business. Suddenly, his law firm was born.

As a lawyer and entrepreneur, Josh’s greatest strengths lie in building trust and creating excellent client experiences. Clients and colleagues seek him out to find clarity in confusing situations. He leads with curiosity and continues to invest in building his skills in problem solving, communication, understanding human psychology, and value generation.

Josh isn’t afraid to hold and share strong opinions. As a result, he has built a dedicated audience on LinkedIn where he shares insightful and value-rich content on life, business, and the legal profession.
